Collection 100. Pt 3.

How to focuss the audience to the appropriate things. Some features of the bedrooms which are unnessarcy and distracting should be erased or somehow made LESS distracting.

So, I started exploring on the visual side of this project now after a careful research into the subject.

The design of the catalogue is coming more together.I am still experiementing with layout, colours and format.

collection 100 Pt3: more photographs

The photographs that were taken initially were aimed for a different product ( bedroom and personality ) but as I am now creating a catalogue that are based on bedroom furnitures and how the bedroom looks themselves. The photography techniques changed

I have tried to keep the angles of the camera uniform and the different angles will not vary that much. Obviously the bedrooms are fairly small and it is impossible to retrieve the whole of the bedroom from one angle.

I have kept the angles to 3-4 different ones and when they are put together, it gives an interesting result

Collection 100 Part 3

From collecting 100 opinions, 100 facts and a 100 objects I generated ideas to progress with this project.

The main ideas in which i considered were

-matching people to their bedrooms
-bedroom Feng Shui
-Bedroom personality

After researching I was going to create a product that identifies a relationship between a person and their bedroom.

So, I started photogrpahings bedrooms and then decided to only take photogrpahs of students bedroom.

Bedrooms in halls are all very similar if not almost all the same and therefore the only difference between each bedroom is how the occupant decorates it.

eg.

However, after a careful consideration and more research, I figured that the product would be interesting but may be not relevant and therefore the product would not have a valid purpose. So, I decided to change the direction of this slightly.

The "bedroom" project will still be a book but instead of "bedroom vs. personality" I am now producing a catalogue in a form of a book. It will be a catalogue of bedroom decorations that are based on actual students bedrooms

100 bedrooms
100 owners
100 objects

Halls of residence are usually uniform and all look the same/ very similar. However the residents can decorate them however much theyd like

the audience will be new students who are moving into halls of residence and are interested in making them more personal.
