Considerations: The meaning of the word and ways to approach it?

Target Audience: Students

My first thought was to stay away from the first image that comes into peoples mind when they think of the word VOGUE which is usually the magazine , more specifically the cover of the magazine.

We each wrote down 30 words that we thought were associated to the word VOGUE and after a group presentation, every each picked 5 words from the 30 as a direction for our poster

-skin
-meaning
-word
and -beauty


At first, to me, Vogue, apart from the magazine was just another word and i wasnt sure what it meant exactly. And this is why i picked these words.

I decided to take the light hearted approach and play witth the word BARE... I first thought of this word as an association of the word bareskin and models now a days being more and more bareskin and wearing less clothes. It has become more acceptable for fashion to become more revealing and that sometimes is considered to me somewhat glamorous and ..'vogue'

Therefore, as an opposite, the approach of my poster will be, none glamourous and more...humorous.

I started thinking of wordplays to do with 'Bare' and meaings of it and a bear...

I came up with several and then picked three for my 3 designs

'BARESKIN'
'Bearing the burden of being vogue/fashionable/labeled
'Barely Legal'
